The Society’s first ever visit to Kenilworth Golf Club.

A real gem hidden away in the back lanes of Kenilworth.

The course was in really good condition and quite challenging with narrow tree lined fairways.

I had the fun of playing a knockout match against Jez C and taking part in the usual days Stableford Competition. To make it even more entertaining, I had to give Jez 22 shots!

I held on for the first 9 holes, but Jez won the match 4 and 2.

He also went on to win the overall outing with 35 points, just pipping Lee P (2nd) and Graham J (3rd) who both returned excellent scores of 33 points.

Thank you to Captain Mark who provided extra prizes on the day.

The really good news on the day was the return of Danny, who played a full 18 holes. It was great to have you back playing with us Danny.

It was also great to see JD who popped in for a chat as well. Unfortunately he is still awaiting surgery before he can play again.

Finally, it pays to mark your golf balls. I managed to lose a few balls around the course. Two of which were found by a member and one was promptly lost again. The surviving ball was handed over to Lee….who took great delight in returning it to me during the presentations.
