Hearsall is one of my favourite clubs that we visit with the society.

The welcome is always so friendly and the course is always in such a good condition.

Unfortunately…on this occasion work was being carried out on two of the holes, leading to an unusual 16 hole round for us! Hearsall were very apologetic and gave us a significant discount on our green fees for our troubles. (Ed – I told you they were nice )

This was the Glass Design Bogey Competition, where you “play matchplay against the course”. With the 2 closed holes causing a few issues with the stroke index, handicaps and scoring, Lee had his work cut out with collating the scores!

Congratulations to Andrew B (3 Down) who came first.

Beating Andy T (4 Down) and myself (4 Down).

I was also playing the Singles Knockout Final at the same time against Steve C and managed to win 4 & 3.

It also turned out that my 3rd place on the day won me the Order of Merit for the Year as well. Quite a successful day!
