The final golfing outing of the year, where did that go?
A return to a regular venue for us, Overstone always looks great this time of year with some great Autumnal colour.
The course was in a very good condition, although sadly the Cedar tree that is the course’s emblem has fallen and is no more.
We unfortunately had a number of last minute dropouts for this event. As a double’s competition, this meant that a number of players ended up playing just on their own. A real shame.
The 17th hole over the lake was proving particularly tricky (no real idea why) and no-one managed to claim the nearest the pin on there.
Congratulations to Martin B and Pete S who came first with 38 points. Beating Jo and Steve C into 2nd place on count back.
