Given the rain this year, we were really lucky to play at Brampton Heath.
And except for a couple of short sharp showers, the weather wasn’t bad. The sun even managed to come out for extended periods of time. You know, that round thing in the sky that we used to see.
All holes were in play and most of the fairways and greens were quite playable for this time of year. There was the occasional boggy section and some of the paths between trees were very slippery with mud.
Amazingly all 22 members managed to survive without any falls and some of our members even managed to post reasonable scores.
Congratulations to Vice Captain Andrew J, who came first with an impressive 35 points, with Tim P in second with 31 points.
Martin also took the opportunity to award the self proclaimed “People’s Champion” JC with his trophies from last year and Tim P with his.
Let’s hope the weather and course conditions improve.
