Ullesthorpe is usually our Pairs Competition in November, so it was a little strange playing without hunting for your golf ball in the fallen leaves.

A little early rain gave way to a pleasant day for golf.

Some of the greens were a challenge with their hard to read slopes, but the course was in good condition.

I managed to continue my recent run of decent form and came first with 34 points, beating Danny G on count back. Much of the fivers win were donated to the bar at the Buck and Bell.

I played with Jon T, who was extremely unlucky on the 18th. His tee shot hit a tree…and stayed in it. It was a novel use of his range finder to confirm that it was his in fact his ball and entitled him to a penalty drop!
