A gloriously sunny day for the society’s outing to Silverstone Golf Course.

It’s always strange playing there with the sound of fast cars echoing around!

With very little rain recently, the course was dry and the greens were proving hard to stop on at times.

It was the dreaded Bogey competition and as usual I didn’t do well. I was 8 down against the course after 9 holes! It did improve on the back nine, but I couldn’t compete with the top 3 who all tied with the course! Congratulations to JC (3rd), Andy B (2nd) and Pete S (1st).

The funniest moment of the day had to be when Alan marked his ball on the green at around a foot from the hole…then proceeded to get flustered and place his ball about 4 foot from the hole and putt from there…past his marker!
