After a Bank Holiday Weekend of good weather, it was inevitable that it would turn just in time for our society visit to Staverton. Looking at the forecast, it was going to be a race against the approaching rain. We managed 9 holes before any rain arrived and thankfully the main front didn’t arrive until after we had finished. The format for the day was Medal, our only one of the year. I didn’t help my chances by scoring an 8 and a 9 ! I felt better to hear of at least one 13 in the field as well. Staverton looked after us very well with a cooked breakfast on arrival and fish & chips when we finished. Congratulations to Lee who won the Masters and David D who won the Rabbits. I got the impression that David wasn’t too happy about his handicap adjustment from 28 down to 25. Welcome to our world David!
