|A very windy but mostly dry day for the NGS visit to Whetstone. Being the last singles competition of the year, it was all to play for in the Order of Merit. This led to myself, Martin and Danny (as the 3 contenders) , being lined up together in the first group. None of us won the day, but congratulations to Martin whose 3rd place sealed the Order of Merit. Also, congratulations to Roly, who won with the only positive score in the Bogey Competition.|
|A big thank you to everyone who attended the Captain’s Charity Day on the 17th June.
The weather was great, the turnout was strong, even the golf wasn’t bad! (Ed – 2nd place!)
The golf was followed with a evening meal back at the Green Man in Long Itchington.
Then it was time for the auction and raffle which were both very well supported.
The final money raising total for the day is still being determined, but at the moment it stands at around £2,700 which is a fantastic achievement.
Once again, on behalf of the Captain, the committee and the Children’s Air Ambulance, a very big thank you to all involved on the day.
An excellent time was had by all at The Green Man on Saturday 18th January 2014.
The 2013 Trophies were awarded and the official handover was made from the 2013 Captain (Tim Satinet) to the 2014 Captain (Andy Beck).

NAPTON GOLF SOCIETY 20TH ANNIVERSARY AWAY WEEKEND
28TH, 29TH, and 30th JUNE 2014
at BELTON WOODS
We are heading for the seaside in 2013.
Sat June 29th – Mon 1st July : 2013 Annual Outing – Bournemouth
I would like to welcome members new and old (and older!) to a new season with the Napton Golf Society.
It is an honour to be this year’s Captain and I am pleased to have A.J. Newman as my Vice Captain. I’m sure he will be a great help to me as he is never short of advice!
I would like to give a big “thank you” to last year’s captain Lee Pollard, I know he worked tirelessly for his chosen charity and the society. Those thanks are also extended to the committee who have again done a fantastic job.
My chosen charity for 2011 is… The Afghanistan Trust.
This is a relatively small charity supporting soldiers and families of the Parachute Regiment in Afghanistan. Everyone reads of the horrors that these brave soldiers endure on almost a daily basis, ad this is a great opportunity for us all to show them our appreciation.
On the course I wish you all a “Doss Bounce”!
Have a great 2011
